Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Hanuman mobile app by Bhaktin. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The Service

Hanuman is a free app for chanting and studying devotional texts centered on Hanuman, including the Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan, Hanuman Ashtak, Hanuman Aarti, Shri Jankinath Aarti, and Ram Stuti, each with Devanagari, transliteration, and line-by-line meaning, along with personal practice tools such as a guided Learn mode, daily wisdom, and observance tracking.

Accounts

• Some features, such as syncing your practice across devices, require an optional account created with your email, Google, or Apple sign-in.
• You are responsible for maintaining access to the email or account you use to sign in and for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend.
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the service or other users.

Your Content

Your practice data — daily log, recitation history, reading position, and learn progress — belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and sync that data solely to provide the app's features to you.

Scripture Content & Intellectual Property

The devotional texts presented in the app are sacred works drawn from public-domain or licensed sources, and are offered for personal study and devotional use. The transliterations and meanings we provide, along with the Hanuman and Bhaktin names, design, and software, are the property of Bhaktin and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its packaged content except as permitted by law.

Content Accuracy

We take care to present texts, translations, and commentary accurately, drawing on sources we consider trustworthy. Even so, the app is offered for informational and devotional purposes and should not be treated as a substitute for guidance from a qualified teacher or scholar.

Free of Charge

The app is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be clearly described and optional, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content, including transliterations and meanings, is complete or free of error.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bhaktin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time — see the Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or where required by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
